Lobbying
& Volunteer Committees:
“Rarely
are there other architects testifying at State Senate or Oregon Transportation
Commission hearings.”
Over
the past thirteen years Ken Diener has made a commitment to Oregon’s
democratic land use processes by being a member of tens of neighborhood
land use committees and special projects, City and State Code rewrite
committees and public involvement committees. A member of the Retail
Task Force and unofficial lobbyist for the ICSC. For five
years Ken was a member of ODOT’s AMAC (Access Management
Advisory Committee) and was involved in Code negotiations with
multiple
cities, the State's DLCD and Portland’s Regional Government, METRO.
All of this lobby work helps to keep Ken Diener at the forefront of the
State's land use climate and establishes contacts that are useful for
our private sector Clients. AND for a change of pace you can find me
every Wednesday afternoon as a volunteer guide at Portland’s
Classical Chinese Garden.
